I record the JUNO by mistake last night, to be honest I was a bit surprise with the quality of the show. I love award show, but mostly watch the American one. What I saw last night, was refreshing. The host was not annoying…the run down was smooth..The biggest surprise was from Jacob Hoggard / Hedley.
I don’t watch Canadian Idol, but had seen Jacob performed on the show once or twice. I remember his unique styles and thinking there is no way he could have won the cookie cutter contest. In terms his dismissal in 3rd place was a blessing (as in, like in ANTM….if you don’t make it in the final two, the chances of you being a model is greater than the one who flash on the tV for “my life as a covergirl”). He got the platform most artist dream about to promote his band, and by not winning, he could have control in the styles and genre of his music.
I heard the song the band perform on JUNO last night (For the nights I can’t remember), and I realize the song I like so much on radio was from him. I am still looking for the JUNO performance on YouTube, but here is the music video.
When I read thru the lyric, I can visual see him giving his famous passionately intense look.
” Believe me girl I’m so tired of running
I just wanna hold your hand
Stare at you like you’ve got everything I need”
